Update 9pm: Sturridge has completed his loan move to West Brom for the rest of the 2017/18 season.
Original story follows
Daniel Sturridge is expected to undergo a medical with West Brom ahead of a loan move for the rest of the season.
The England international has fallen out of favour at Anfield, and is now behind both Danny Ings and Dominic Solanke in the striker pecking order.
The early indication was that Sturridge would be heading to Tyneside today to undergo the preliminaries of a move to Newcastle United but that failed to materialise.
Liverpool had been adamant that only a permanent deal would be under discussion, but with no sign of incomings at Anfield, and having sold Coutinho the reds will now loan out Sturridge.
Sturridge wants regular first team football to stand any chance of being part of England's 2018 World Cup side which could be his last appearance at the major tournament.
Daniel has made 14 appearances for the reds this season - but only started 5 games. He has 3 goals this season.
His overall record for Liverpool is impressive - 63 goals in 133 appearances, however his time at Liverpool under Klopp has been hampered by several injury spells.
