Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is reportedly keen on bringing in Naby Keita 6 months earlier than expected from German side RB Leipzig.
The Guinean international was due to arrive in Liverpool this summer in a transfer deal of between £58 and £68M (dependent on Leipzig's performance this season).
The deal was originally set in stone for the summer of 2018, but according to German media the deal could be completed this month.
The player is rumoured to be ready to move to Anfield, Klopp is ready for reinforcements after the departure of Coutinho and the indifference of Emre Can, and crucially RB Leipzig's stance has softened.
According to various outlets including Bild, their CEO Oliver Mintzlaff is ready to conclude a deal if the Merseyside club add on somewhere between €15 and €20M on top of the original deal.
Keita's performances have been disappointing as the season has wore on - with many coming to the conclusion that his head is already at Liverpool and that maybe it is time his body was as well.
The player, who turns 23 in a months time, has scored 5 goals in 20 appearances for the German club so far this season.
