According to the Italian media outlet, Corrierre Dello Sport, the reds are interested in bringing back former goalkeeper Pepe Reina.
The 33 year old spent 8 seasons as Liverpool's goalkeeper - making 394 appearances.
In the summer of 2013 Brendan Rodgers brought in Simon Mignolet in order to provide 'competition' but within weeks Reina had been loaned out to Napoli, where former manager Rafa Benitez was in charge.
The following season, the reds sold him to Bayern Munich, where Reina spent a large part of the season as understudy before returning to Napoli the following season. His existing deal at Napoli runs until the summer of 2018.
If the reds interest in Reina is serious then it is likely to spell the end of Simon Mignolet's Liverpool career.
