Victor Valdes, linked with a move to Liverpool, has been offered the opportunity to complete his recuperation at Man Utd.
A statement on the Man Utd website read:
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has offered the 32-year-old former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes a chance to complete his rehabilitation from a knee injury and to work his way back to fitness with the club.
Valdes, a free agent, will have his recovery supervised by the United medical staff before training with the first team, as he bids to regain full fitness.
Valdes missed the final few months of last season after rupturing his cruciate in a game against Celta Vigo in March.
After the sale of Pepe Reina to Bayern Munich in the summer, Valdes had been tipped for a move to Liverpool who only have Simon Mignolet and Brad Jones as senior goalkeepers at the club.
