Sevilla's sporting director confirms LFC have bid for Luis Alberto.
However, the reds are going to need to increase their bid if they want to secure the services of the Spaniard.
The reds are rumoured to have offered around £6M for the player and Sporting Director Monchi told Marca,
"If there has been interest from Liverpool, we are not going to deny that.
"The numbers suggest that he is leaving. The player has received an important offer, but at the moment he is a Sevilla player. The first offer the club has is very good, but we are not satisfied yet."
The young forward spent last season on loan at Barcelona B. The player is believed to be on standby for an Anfield medical suggesting that the two clubs will eventually strike a deal within the week.
