Barcelona are considering a move for Daniel Agger according to reports in the Spanish media.
The Barcelona-based daily Sports paper Sport.es says that Barcelona have been long time admirers of Liverpool's centre-back.
Coach Tito Vilanova is chasing Thiago Silva of Paris St Germain, but the players agent has so far rebuffed any interest from Barcelona - insisting the player will remain at Paris St Germain.
According to the newspaper, Agger has been attracting attention at the Nou Camp for some time, and if it wasn't for injury concerns in the season before last, he may have been their top target ahead of Alex Song who joined last summer.
Agger was 6th in Liverpool's leaderboard for most playing time last season - highlighting his improvement in fitness.
