The reds have lodged plans for the new Anfield stadium with the city's council as progress slowly begins to be made on the new stadium.
The club is asking the council to grant a 999 year lease for the proposed site, and also to accept a number of grants including the EU grant needed for redevelopment of the Anfield area.
The cost of the stadium and Stanley Park regeneration has been set at £215 million - Liverpool's liability is expected to be £190 million.
