RAFA WANTS WAR CHEST Today's newspapers are full of stories suggesting that Inter Milan and Real Madrid have made enquiries about the availability of Rafael Benitez, and that the manager could move if he is not given financial backing to purchase the players he wants. Figures have varied between papers but it is suggested that a figure of anywhere between 30 and 50 million pounds is suggested by Rafa. Rafa famously left Valencia, citing the club's inability to match his financial needs for transfers. Liverpool chairman David Moores and chief executive Rick Parry are expected to meet with Rafa's agent following the Benfica game. Discuss this news item with other fans in our forum |
