CISSE BITTER AT RAFA AS HE LEAVES REDS

Cisse: Everybody likes me (apart from Rafa) |
Djibril Cisse is still bitter at Rafa's unwillingness to keep hold of him, and his labelling as a troublemaker as he prepares for his move to Marseille.
"I'm a troublemaker? So why did Harry Kewell dedicate his goal to me in the World Cup?" Cisse told Sky Sports. "How can I be a troublemaker if someone like that thought of me ahead of his family, his children and his wife? Everybody likes me, I am not scared to say that."
Cisse, who will join Marseille on loan when he recovers from his injury, also claims he did not complain last season when he was left on the bench or played out of position.
He said: "I have kept my cool. The manager put me on the bench five times, six times, he put me right side then left side and I never moaned or complained to him.
"Now he has asked me to leave. It is too much. It is too easy to make it look like I want to go, but he should be man enough to admit that he wants me to leave.
"I have been asked to leave the club, and when the manager who has the power to play you or not asks that, then it is best to go.
"But only after that conversation did I say that I would be happy to go to Marseille.
"I am friends with everybody, I get on well with all the staff, I got married here and my son was born here. It is really hard because I want to stay here for a long time, but it is not my choice."

What do you think about Djibril Cisse being told to find a new club? Is Rafa right? |
|
"I must say, that I think the treatment of Djibs, since joining us has been pretty poor.
He obviously loves the club, and the fans, and his hurt that he is no longer wanted.
I feel his comments have been made to re-assure the Liverpool fans, that he doesn't want to leave! "

"Rafa is right. There is no room for Cisse at Anfield. Cisse is playing dirty mind games. That never does any good to the team. We have all seen him make faces and his performance against ManU and Chelsea did not endear him to anyone. Never plays well against good team. 7 out of 19 goals came from penalties, the remaining against weak teams (CL Qualifiers???).
In fact I suggest that Liverpool take action against the player on disciplinary grounds. "

"Rafa is absolutely, utterly, 100%, no doubt, unquestionably RIGHT to get rid of Cisse.
Facts are this - he cost 14m and scored very few big match goals(Owen scores goals and cost 16m). He misses too many. He is arrogant. And then there is his injury-proneness.
Trust me, if we get Villa for 18m, he will show us all just how bad a deal Cisse was!! "

"I can see from both points of view, but at the heart of it...if he was going to be the striker to win us the league, he'd of been that by now"

"To me it's been obvious from day one that Rafa doesn't like him or rate him as a striker. We paid a lot of money for him and although he does have blistering pace he is not a natural goalscorer or finisher, but I would still keep him. Him and Bellamy would make a good partnership "

"I think Djib has been unlucky at liverpool.Because he was not signed by Rafa i don't think he has been given a fair crack of the whip.He may not be the most polished player but his goal return last season wasn't bad concidering he didn't start in a lot of games. I just hope that if he does leave, it is for a team abroad, because i honestly believe that if he stayed in the premiership with another club it could come back to haunt us. "
