Liverpool will be set to face either Sydney FC or Deportivo Saprissa in the Semi-Final of the World Club Cup in December 2005.

The tournament, loosely based on the old World Club Cup has so far eluded the reds after defeats in the past to Flamengo and Independiente. The reds will be hoping for third time lucky, and the chance to be crowned the World Club Champions in time for Christmas.
