Liverpool today completed the signing of one of Everton's targets, who snubbed the Blues to join the European Champions. The Valencia midfielder, who hails from Mali, will cost the reds about £5 million.

Benitez of course knows him well and said:

"Mohamed is a young central midfielder who plays a high-energy game with a high tempo.

"He's young, he's not bad on the ball and he will improve the balance of our team in the middle.

"He's had two good years with Valencia where he has won trophies. I know him well and he's a very good player."

The reds boss indicated that he is still on the lookout for two or three more players to add to the 5 he has already purchased.
