Reports in yesterday's media suggest that Liverpool right back, Steve Finnan, could see his Liverpool career over after only one season in Rafael Benitez' increasing cull of Gerard Houllier's squad.

According to some reports the reds have accepted an offer from Blackburn Rovers to take the Irishman up the M6, and negotiations with the player's agent could start as early as tomorrow.

The reds bought Finnan last summer for an estimated £3.5 million but could be looking at a loss as the figures suggested indicate Blackburn are willing to pay £2 million.
