NEW BOY FINNAN READY TO BRING REDS SILVERWARE STEVE FINNAN today spoke of his joy at agreeing his move to Liverpool and immediately set his sights on winning the Premiership. Finnan confirmed his £3.5m switch to Anfield yesterday and will sign when he returns from holiday in July. And after ending months of speculation, the 27-year-old spoke of his determination to win the game's top honours with the Reds. "Pulling on that famous red shirt for the first time, especially at Anfield, will be a moment to treasure," said Finnan. "It's a wonderful move for me. I desperately want to win things in my career and I feel I'm now at a place where I can achieve all my ambitions. "Finishing fifth last season was a big disappointment for everyone at Anfield, but that will only make everybody even more determined to make it a tremendous season this year. "They might not be in the Champions' League, but this team
can do well in the UEFA Cup, as well as challenging for every honour
in the British game. That's why I came here. It's a club who are
used to winning."
