REDS GOALIE GETS MASSIVE ENGLAND BOOST

Chris Kirkland has been called up to the England squad for Wednesday's friendly international with Croatia.

The young keeper is one of five Liverpool players selected by Sven Goran Eriksson - Steven Gerrard, Danny Murphy, Emile Heskey and Michael Owen making up the strong Reds contingent.

Kirkland will be hoping to win his first full cap as the England boss experiments ahead of the forthcoming Euro 2004 qualifiers against Macedonia and Liechenstein.
