Liverpool lock horns once again with Leicester at the King Power stadium for the second time in 5 days.
The reds, despite dominating, failed to take their first half chances and lost 2-0 in the League Cup 3rd round against Leicester on Tuesday.
Both sides had made extensive changes for that game - but for Liverpool some of those changes may continue to be enforced with centre-back Dejan Lovren unlikely to return to action as he struggles with his back injury.
Recent meetings
Liverpool have lost on the last 3 visits to Leicester - and have just one victory in the past 5 attempts.
As well as this week's 2-0 defeat, the reds suffered a 3-1 defeat against an ex-Champion winning Leicester who had just sacked Claudio Ranieri. That was at the end of last February.
The Foxes also beat the reds 2-0 when they were on the way to winning their title in 2015/16. A remarkable season for their club.
In those two recent Premier League games Jamie Vardy has scored 4 of their 5 winnings goals - a clear and present danger man for LFC. The other goalscorer, Danny Drinkwater, has recently moved from the Leicester first team to Chelsea's bench.
Team News
Dejan Lovren, who does seem to struggle every few weeks with injuries, is likely to miss out again. Emre Can has been ruled fit despite missing training on Thursday. Joel Matip has a hamstring problem - if he is included it will only confirm how weak the reds are in central defence.
Ragnar Klavan and Joe Gomez are available - Klavan has played in the reds last two games and a third game in 8 days would be a very busy period for the Estonian international.
Andy Robertson excelled against Leicester's second XI (despite the deflected own goal) but it will be interesting to see if he is still preferred over Alberto Moreno as a first team player.
Sadio Mane is serving the final game of his three game domestic suspension - as a result Coutinho may play in the more forward role he occupied in the midweek cup game.
Danny Ings came on as a substitute in midweek - that was his first Liverpool first team action in almost 11 months. He will be hoping for a spot on the bench this weekend.
The Opposition
Leicester have won just once in the League this season - but they have had a tough start. They've faced Arsenal and Man Utd away, and Chelsea at home. All lost. They beat Brighton at home and drew away at Huddersfield in their last Premier League clash to tally up to 4 points.
Jamie Vardy already has 3 goals in his 4 club appearances this season. One to watch.
Danny Drinkwater was their major transfer window exit. He left on deadline day, shortly after Ross Barkley decided against a switch to Chelsea.
But they have also spent big this summer. They brought in striker Iheanacho from Man City and Vicente Iborra from Sevilla. Harry Maguire, a former teammate of Andy Robertson, also joined them for twice the Liverpool signing's fee.
League Position
The reds are currently on 8 points, level with the teams throughout 5th to 10th in the Premier League.
Having dropped 7 points in the opening 5 games, a win would likely put the reds at least back into the top 6 - before the reds head to Moscow for their second Champions League group game.
Betting
The bookies, strangely considering form and recent results, have Liverpool as Evens favourites. You can get better than 3/1 for a Leicester victory.
Both teams to get a goal and Leicester to win is a sizeable 6/1.
