We’ve heard from Rafa’s press conference already, so let’s have a look at FC Porto (for the second time this year).
FC Porto are currently riding high in both the Portugese League, and of course, the Champions League.
Porto are the only unbeaten side in our Group – sitting top of the table after 4 games with 8 points (2 wins and 2 draws). A victory against us will ensure their qualification. A point will ensure their qualification, and seal Liverpool’s fate if Marseille beat Besiktas.
In the Portugese League, Porto are also unbeaten, leading 2nd placed Benfica by 4 points. They won 2-0 on Sunday night against Vitoria Setubal.
Liverpool expect to recall Javier Mascherano to the starting line up in place of Lucas Leiva who played at Newcastle on Saturday.
Betting
A flurry of bets on the reds has left the victory at little value – 2/1 ON.
Porto, group leaders, are a wild 8/1 on to win the game with some bookmakers. The draw is 3/1.
An unhelpful 0-0 draw is at 11/1 with a reds 2-0 or 2-1 win at 6/1. A repeat of the Besiktas scoreline, 8-0, is at 500/1.
