Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp gave injury updates for his squad ahead of this weekend's Premier League clash.
The reds have a game in hand over leaders Man City and can go three points clear at the top if they get the win in the Saturday afternoon kick off.
Klopp gave indications that the injury problems are beginning to ease with three missing players having returned to training.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum are all back training with the first team - although the game may come too soon for all three to be considered in the starting line up.
Dejan Lovren remains unavailable for selection with a muscle injury.
Joe Gomez underwent an operation earlier in the week and Klopp says the aim is for him to return within 4-6 weeks. And Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain could be back by late April according to the Liverpool boss.
The midfielder was added to the reds Champions League squad earlier this week but the reds will likely need to progress to the last 4 of the competition before the Englishman could be back in a Liverpool shirt.
The reds kick off at 3pm on Saturday at Anfield. City have played a game more due to bringing forward the game v Everton by two weeks. The Mancunian club take on Chelsea at home on Sunday.
