Minor injuries and illness affecting Liverpool plans – with Lallana concern

Liverpool are nursing a few injuries ahead of the visit of the Baggies in tomorrow evening's FA Cup clash.

It will be a rare Saturday night out for LFC - with the game kicking off at 7:45pm.

Klopp is looking forward to the nighttime game 'not many people go to bed early at the weekend' before going to admit that he 'didn't like the midday kick offs - I'm always hungry at 12.'

But there will be a few players who won't be on the pitch at the weekend.

Adam Lallana has appeared to have suffered a setback in his slow recovery from injury that ended the first half of the season for him.  Klopp admitted the player had a 'tear' injury.

"It takes some time after a long injury to return to the intensity. We tried to bring him back slowly - get him back used to the pace of things over time but it obviously hasn't worked that well."

Despite this the Liverpool boss remained positive insisting that it hopefully wouldn't be a big issue.

Ragnar Klavan is also unavailable.  He has been suffering with illness and has lost a few kilograms in weight due to the effects of a viral infection.

Alberto Moreno is back in team training but still some way from contention and although Nathaniel Clyne's progress is said to be 'good' - he has not yet returned to on the pitch training.

Jordan Henderson is unlikely to feature in this game having not long been back in training.

Klopp admitted that for the remaining few days of the transfer window: 'It was not really likely' that anyone else would come in and that there is no change in Daniel Sturridge's status and he could be involved in tomorrow's matchday squad.

Liverpool kick off against West Brom at 7:45pm from Anfield.  The game will be covered live in the UK on BT Sport 2.
