Burnley v Liverpool team news: Lallana makes first start of the season, Salah/Coutinho out

Liverpool make seven changes to their starting XI from the side that beat Leicester 2-1 just 48 hours ago.

Mohammed Salah and Philippe Coutinho are both out of the squad with groin and thigh muscle injuries respectively, but Adam Lallana returns to the starting line up for the first time this season.

Loris Karius, Joel Matip, Andy Robertson, Roberto Firmino and James Milner all move from the starting XI to the bench.

Mignolet, Klavan, Alexander-Arnold, Solanke and Gini Wijnaldum come in to replace them.

With both Gomez and Alexander-Arnold in the side, normally playing at right back, we could see the reds switch to a back three against Burnley.

Simon Mignolet captains the Liverpool team in his 201st appearance for Liverpool.

Burnley, who also played 48 hours ago, make just one change with James Tarkowski returning at centre-half after a one game suspension.

Liverpool team: Mignolet, Alexander-Arnold, Klavan, Lovren, Gomez, Can, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mane, Solanke.

Substitutes: Karius, Milner, Firmino, Robertson, Ings, Matip, Woodburn.
