Jurgen Klopp is preparing for a rare mid-week Premier League tie - with the reds travelling to a dark, windy Wednesday night in Stoke.
Stoke for sure is a difficult place to go - they are a good side with a fantastic manager who is very experienced. They live for moments like this, home under the floodlights. We are not there to enjoy or suffer any atmosphere - we are there for the points and that's what we have to show.
Klopp was asked about Man City's form and whether the title can be conceded to them
As long as Man City keep winning no one else has a chance. It's possible that you can still get them but I don't care about that for the moment. We want to have the next three, and then the next three but at the moment they are too far away.
He was then asked about his plans for resting players as the club enter a busy period of festive fixtures
By the way we don't rest - we 'use' our players. Against Chelsea we needed fresh legs and that's what we wanted to have and I thought it worked quite well. It's important that I show the faith in all the boys and it was important that they showed me that they were ready.
Klopp also indicated that both Mane and Firmino would return to the starting line up and that Lovren is aiming to be fit after picking up a knock
"It made sense at this part of the season to use the strength of the squad. It's not completely unlikely they (Mane/Firmino) will start.
"(DejanLovren) It’s not a big thing, swelling. He will try to run today. Emre’s back for the squad.
Liverpool kick off at Stoke tomorrow evening at 8pm UK time in the 14th game of the season.
