Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has hailed his players and their mental resolve to come back from the shock of an early Jamie Vardy goal.
The reds toiled in the first half as they saw a host of chances go begging for them to get back into the game. The equaliser arrived within 10 minutes of the restart but it wasn't until the final 15 minutes that the winning goal arrived in the shape of Liverpool's diminutive Egyptian.
Klopp was thrilled in his post match TV interview.
"It is a maximum satisfaction to win like this today and on perfect days we win football games - today was pretty much perfect.
When we were one goal down our reaction was the best I've ever seen in this situation. The crowd were unbelievable and we needed them today to score these two goals. Mo was fantastic with his dribbling and his vision. I couldn't ask more from him.
Staying in the game is the real deal of football in this league but I am happy for Mo, I am happy for the team because this group is a fantastic group of players. It's a good team performance and a well deserved win."
Klopp will now be preparing his players for their next game - in less than 48 hours time as they travel to an impressive Burnley side.
Kick off on New Years Day is also at 3pm.
