Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has praised new signing Mohamed Salah and is excited about the qualities he will bring to the side.
Salah will join up with the rest of his new teammates in the coming days as they prepare for Wednesday's first friendly game against local opposition Tranmere Rovers.
And while Liverpool fans will be looking forward to seeing the former AS Roma forward in action - the manager is equally as enthusiastic.
Speaking to the club he said:
“Even if people didn’t know too much about him, they must have watched a few videos and they are impressive.
“We have had a few talks of course, spoke to each other – he is a really nice lad. He is really looking forward to coming to Liverpool and joining us.
The reds new £35M signing scored a total of 34 goals in 84 appearances in the last 2 and half seasons in Italy, first with loan moves to Fiorentina and Roma before Roma made the deal permanent last summer.
Klopp continued:
“He is a fantastic player, with speed. We said after last season, there are a few things we would try to involve in an already really good squad; one of the things is speed, being kind of a finisher, preparing chances, making goals and all that stuff. He brings all this in.
“He is a naturally fit boy – he can run as quick and as long as he wants. That’s all good. I’m really looking forward to it.
Although the game against Tranmere may come to soon for a Salah run-out he will join the club on their trip to Hong Kong.
