Former Southampton forward Sadio Mane has completed his big money move to Liverpool.
The player, who can play in a multitude of attacking positions, signs a long term deal - widely touted to ultimately make him Liverpool's record signing.
The 24 year old is expected to cost as much as £38M with add-ons, on top of a basic fee of £34M.
He will wear the number 19 shirt at Anfield.
Speaking to the official site shortly after signing Sadio said:
“I knew Liverpool were interested in me, I had some [other] opportunities, but I think for me this is the right club, the right coach and the right moment to change.
“I am very happy to be a part of Liverpool Football Club.
“(Klopp) said he wanted me to come to play for Liverpool. I didn’t even have to ask myself, I said straight away ‘yes, I am interested’ because I know Liverpool.
“I am convinced Liverpool are the right club for me with the right coach.”
Mane follows in the footsteps of two other Senegalese internationals at Liverpool - Salif Diao and El Hadji Diouf. Hopefully - his time at the club will prove far more successful.
Welcome to Liverpool Sadio.
