New Liverpool signing Ragnar Klavan, who was handed the number 17 shirt earlier today, has been speaking to LFC about his move to Anfield.
The 30 year old left footed centre back admitted he had no hesitation in joining the reds when he heard about their interest.
It's hard to put it into words because it has been a dream of mine for 20 years to play in the Premier League and to be a part of this amazing club Liverpool.
Klavan said former Estonian keeper Mart Poom, who played for a number of English clubs, was a big idol in his childhood.
Asked about Liverpool the club - Klavan said:
'The history - the trophies they have won. The names that have been here at Melwood, at Anfield Road. To be part of this is something special and I'm privileged to be here.
He was asked about his game at Anfield last season when Augsburg narrowly lost 1-0 to a James Milner penalty.
'It's a compact stadium but there is so much history there. Nowadays a lot of teams are in new stadiums but Anfield has a lot of history.
Regarding Klopp,
'He knew me from the Bundesliga. When I heard about this chance to represent Liverpool and work with Jurgen Klopp there was no doubt in my mind. Jurgen likes to play fast football and play high pressing. When you had the ball you didn't get a break from the Dortmund strikers.
'For me the most important is the team effort. Whatever has to be done for the team I have always been a team player and I will be till I retire. There are a lot of really good players.
'I only know the team on paper and what happened last season. Even if you have really good players you have to click and all work together. It's really hard to say right now (what we can achieve). There are so many good sides in the Premier League. That's what makes it so interesting.'
Liverpool take on Huddersfield tonight before travelling to the United States for the rest of July.
