The reds were drawn in Group A, alongside Udinese of Italy, Swiss side Young Boys and the rich Russian side FC Anzhi Makhachkala managed by Guus Hiddink.

Fixtures will be played on Thursdays from the 20th September to the 9th December. The final is due to be held in the Amsterdam ArenA on the 15th May 2013.
