The Premier League fixtures have been released and in another of those ‘quirks of the fixture computer’ Liverpool will take on Jordan Henderson’s old side Sunderland on the opening day at Anfield.
The weekend of Saturday 13th August will signal the start of the campaign, although games are likely to be affected due to TV commitments – the opening clashes for all Premier League teams are as follows:

The reds follow up with an away game at Arsenal – with the reds yet to win at the new Emirates Stadium.
October 1st sees the reds travel to Goodison Park for the derby, with Man Utd the visitors to Anfield a fortnight later.
From the 4th February, the reds face Spurs (h), Everton (h), Man Utd (a) and Arsenal (h) in a particularly interesting part of the season.
Liverpool will round up their season, away at newly promoted Swansea City on the 13th May 2012.
