New England Sports Ventures now have four men on the Anfield board.
The two senior individuals in the group, John W Henry and Tom Werner were already in place following Liverpool’s sale 9 days ago, but the group have now appointed David Ginsberg and Michael Gordon on to the board.
NESV is a group of 16 investors, four of whom now have their place on the Anfield board.
It is believed that Ian Ayre, who remains as Commercial director, has retained his present role on the board. Although it is possible that he may give this up for a new Chief Executive which the board are currently looking to appoint.
John W Henry will not attend the Blackburn game through illness – however the Chief Executive of the Boston Red Sox, Sam Kennedy, will also be at the game as well as many other members of NESV.
Thanks for putting this out. Helpful info indeed
Hiddink is the answer regarding who is going to replace R Hogdson!!! Guss has everthing whats are required to succeed at Anfield. He is an ”instant success'”…
NESV, Will spend money, they know as thry have run the Red sox that in order to compete, the better your asset( your team) the better the more money the fans spend, the more people come to the games and so on, its not hard to figure that out. While they do not have the billions that some have, ie, man city cheslea, i do thing that they have strong business relations in that they 17 trusted people that run the red sox and lfc and can be trusted to invest well, dreams would aguero and lahm
We won but struggled to do so as usual!.If our top players want to leave then it’s probably down to the manager and nothing else but i they don’t love us anymore then sell them!.No player is greater then LFC so we must never even beg Torres to remain with us lke Fergie who was down on his knees to Rooney!
If Hodgson leaves then we should move heaven and earth to install Hiddink as th next manager!
Well we won, still not convinced, he’s had 9 games, Bolton is # 10 then the scum. He’s still got work to do to keep this job and if he can at least challenge the scum then I’d give him till January.
well chuffed for nando too maybe he can get his season realy started.
Liverpool needs some more time and by the middle of the league season, Liverpool will be in the 5th position.
Oh God no. No. No! NO!
Martin o’Neil is not the answer.
Hodgson must go but not to replaced like-for-like by o’Neil.
NO.
If Sunday morning newspaper reports are to be believed, Torres and Reina want out. NESV are business people and it is a key rule in business that you don’t sell your assets. NESV haven’t purchased this club for our best players to walk away or for us to be in the championship next season. Expect Hodgson to be sacked following another dismal performance today and Martin O’Neill to get the job.
Well said, Jonesey, about the first bit, but about Rooney? – thats MU’s problem, time will tell…….
These guys have class and are shrewd – any Rooney type nonsense from Torres or Reina then I hope they sell – only City can win the salary battles – LFC is about pride in the shirt. Torres has not done a thing for 9 months – so whats the fuss about. Man U have made a mega mistake over Rooney – time will tell.
