Jamie Carragher is back in contention for a starting place against Unirea Urziceni at Anfield tomorrow night. The Liverpool defender has made himself available to Rafa Benitez after limping off with an abductor problem against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium last week.
It will also come as a boost to the Liverpool back line as some fans felt a lack of leadership appeared when the number 23 left the pitch at the Emirates Stadium.
Yossi Benayoun meanwhile, has also got back into the frame tomorrow night. The tricky Israeli has been sidelined with a rib injury since January but is back in training. The Liverpool boss will wait until a late fitness test on Thursday afternoon to decide on whether Benayoun will play any part though.
Rafa Benitez:
Carra is training again and he will be available which is very good news for us.
He is an important player for us.
Yossi is training with the team. He still has a problem with his rib but at least he is training. We will decide about him on Thursday.
Torres and Johnson are progressing and working with the fitness coach. They are very close but not available yet.
