43 year old Burnley boss Owen Coyle may have used himself up front against Liverpool reserves – but it was 18 year old Daniel Pacheco who stole the show with an injury time free kick which gave Liverpool reserves all 3 points at Prenton Park.
The reserves won their 4th game in the row and moved to joint top of the Reserves League with both Manchester clubs.
Liverpool’s youth players put in an excellent shift – Eccleston continuing his good progress at reserve level, but the reds couldn’t make the breakthrough.
With 5 minutes of the game remaining Burnley were reduced to ten men and as they entered stoppage time, the reds were awarded a free kick 5 yards outside the box.
Pacheco stepped up and curled the ball in to the left hand corner of the net.

well with all the intertnational games and players not returning untill the day before. this is the ideal opportunity to see if he can handle the premier league
Why not give this boy a chance after all we’re not exactly spoilt for choice upfront!!?
Saw it on sky sports news was a great goal I still see a bright future for pacheco but with all this time in reserves it looks like it might not be with Liverpool. I hope he gets a chance and takes it though.
