The Liverpool Legends match ended up 3-1 to the reds last night and was a terrific occasion, with a fantastic turnout at Anfield. Around 25,000 Liverpool fans attended the game which was held in honour of the 20th Hillsborough anniversary.
All funds raised have gone towards the Marina Dalglish appeal, which aims to build a radiotherapy unit in Merseyside.
A whole host of former Liverpool players, other clubs ex-players, celebrities and referee’s all pitched in and a special mention to all those people, far too many to mention, who gave their time to support a very worthwhile cause.
