As we hoped for yesterday there was some good news revealed from the Anfield medical room today.
Our big Slovakian at the back does not require surgery on his posterior cruciate ligament and could be back in the New Year.
The player is currently incapacitated and is probably getting through the bags of frozen peas around his knee as we speak.
Surgery is only required when there has been a complete tear of the ligament and the entire knee joint requires reconstruction, so avoiding this is clearly a massive help.
Fingers crossed his rehabilitation goes well and he doesn’t suffer any further injury. We’ll see you for the FA Cup in January, Skrts.
