Momo Sissoko has left Liverpool in an £8.2 million deal for Juventus. The reds have now earned £1.7 million in this transfer window, which will cover about three weeks of our new bank interest payments.
The Mali midfielder had a storming start to his Liverpool career but had a woeful end of 06/07 campaign and the summer break failed to improve the players form.
Dubbed as the ‘next Patrick Viera’ the player will go to Juve to play possibly alongside the ‘real Patrick Viera’.
Momo is still only 23 and the reds beat Everton to his signature from Valencia in 2005, paying £5.1 million for him. He played 51 times for the reds and scoring one goal in the process.
e wish Momo all the success in the future and if he learns how to pass to people in the same coloured shirt as himself he could have a very promising future.
A good, honest player, fierce in the tackle and who gave the defence a lot of protection. Unfortunatley, not the best ball distribution and not capable of contributing too many goals. Will miss him and also wish him the best of luck.
One problem with the transfer – I understand Juventus will pay the fee in instalments (they always do this) and so Rafa will only have part of the money available to him immediately.
50% good 50% bad.. still young and got a lot of potential to succed at LFC.. Maybe because the arrival of Masch..
Thank god for that. Good luck to him though, he gave 100%
How did we make a profit on him?
