Almost overshadowed by Liverpool’s off-field antics, tomorrow at 12:45 the 205th Merseyside Derby will kick off at Anfield.
We will obviously be out not only for revenge after the bizarre 3-0 defeat at Goodison Park a few months back, but also three vital points in Liverpool’s on-going charge to put pressure on Chelsea in the Premiership.
If Everton faced Liverpool at ‘the right time’ in the season at Goodison, they are probably facing a Liverpool team in a different kind of form altogether. With 9 wins in the last 10 matches Liverpool are now the form team of the Premiership.
Team News
Momo Sissoko is unlikely to be risked tomorrow, the game coming slightly too early for his return from injury. Fabio Aurelio is also unlikely to feature. New signing Alvelo Arbeola is expected to be named on the substitutes bench as defensive cover.
Everton meanwhile will be looking at late fitness tests for Andrew Johnson who scored twice in this seasons 3-0 defeat. A blues win over the reds tomorrow will be their first ‘double’ for 22 years over Liverpool.
Liverpool have not lost at Anfield in the Premiership for 28 games, since October 2005.
Come on you Reds! Lets keep this good form going!
