Rafa Benitez believes that the reinforcements to Liverpool’s squad will prove vital over the festive season this year.
Whilst reflecting on the past two 4-0 Premiership triumphs, Rafa believes the victories have come at a vital time:
“I think it is important for everybody because we will play a lot of games in a short space of time.”
“Sometimes we will play without the players being really fit because physically it is impossible for them to play two games in two days or something.
“But that is the reason for the squad and that could be the difference this season.
“The squad we have means we have more options in different areas.
“However, I think they can be better. I think we can improve in certain areas, the last pass for example.”
Liverpool face two dreaded away games shortly after Christmas at Blackburn and Tottenham Hotspur before a clash against Bolton at Anfield on New Years Day. The FA Cup game against Arsenal follows early in the New Year.
We need SIGNINGS for goodness sake. We have to get Beckham as Carvolz said and sell or put one of our cm on loan. zenden is one who never gets the team 11 or the bench. he should go to a team like fulham for about 1 season. Luis garcia is good but the fastest winger in the world(M Gonzalez) is not doing much. He should run the line a lot. We need Kewell back for atleast getting one cup.
