Liverpool begin tonight with a four point lead at the top of the Premier League and a game in hand over their nearest competitors Manchester City.
But they welcome a Leicester side more than capable of turning in a solid performance and result.
Leicester handed Man City a 2-1 last month on Boxing Day and will be keen to produce another big game performance.
The former Premier League champions have won 2 out of the last 6 Premier League meetings between the sides and knocked the reds out of the League Cup last season.
The reds had concerns over Virgil van Dijk who was suffering with illness but he is tipped to return. The game could come one game too soon however for Trent Alexander Arnold.
A big night ahead - stay with us.
As it happened...
Liverpool can go seven points clear at the top of the Premier League tonight if they manage to overcome Leicester City at Anfield.
Man City's defeat away at Newcastle United last night was their 3rd defeat in the last 7 league matches.
It hasn't been lucky for Jurgen Klopp so far, and it's not particularly lucky for the reds.
Klopp has lost all three of his 'Matchday 24's' so far for Liverpool - and the reds drew the four years before that.
Liverpool have not won the 24th game of the season for 8 years.
Here's tonight's team. Gini and Shaqiri in.
Liverpool: Alisson, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Keita, Shaqiri, Mane, Salah, Firmino.
Subs: Mignolet, Fabinho, Lovren, Sturridge, Lallana, Origi, Camacho.
It's a wintry affair at Anfield now. The rain has turned that little bit colder and the hailstones are punishing the pitch.

Parts of the pitch taking on a decidely white tinge with the combination of rain/hail/sleet/snow at Anfield.
Should make for some interesting football tonight!
Pre-match YNWA done.
Players around the centre circle at the moment in memory of Emiliano Sala, the former Nantes and Cardiff striker who went missing a week ago in the English Channel.
We're underway at Anfield.
Liverpool kicking towards the Anfield Road.
1' Jordan Henderson at right back for tonight's game.
3' I was just about to say how slow the ball was moving across the pitch due to the snow and then BOOM - Sadio Mane collects the ball in the area and slides it past Schmeichel.
1-0!
4' Robertson floats a ball in to the area but Schmeichel is out to collect that one.
6' Chance!
LOVELY take down from Roberto Firmino. Fires across goal and Schmeichel gets a hand on it.
From the corner it's MANE - he heads it narrowly wide.
Good pressure from the reds.
10' Rendition of 'Rafa Benitez' from the Liverpool crowd.
16' Matip collects a yellow for a foul on Jamie Vardy just on the half-way line.
23' Liverpool have been knocking it around for the last five or so minutes. Patiently looking for an opening.
25' Alisson dwelled on the ball there. Vardy closes him down and then Maddison can't convert the chance.
29' Free kick for Leicester about 35 yards out. James Maddison balloons it out for a goal kick.
Bizarre.
31' Half hour gone. Liverpool have seen most of the ball and obviously have the goal.
Little snow flurry prior to kick off has affected the game.
One half of the pitch the ball moves very slowly across the pitch. Not as bad on the far side (Sir Kenny Dalglish stand) of the ground.
Leicester have had chances...
36' Chilwell with a good defensive clearance from Salah there.
41' Wonderful ball through for Mane, Harry Maguire brings him down. He gets a yellow - could well have been a red there.
Cynical.
44' Half is ending with a couple of LFC corners, and they've not been a million miles away from getting on the end of them.
45+1 Equaliser from Harry Maguire. All came from a free kick that Andy Robertson needlessly gave away.
Free kick came back out to Chilwell who crossed it in and Maguire was unmarked inside the area. Easy goal.
It's level at the break.
Der der derrrrrr!
Back underway.
50' Yellow card for Ricardo. Foul on Mane.
53' Great chance there for Leicester to go 2-1 up. Free kick came in and Alisson had to clear with his legs from a ball that came off Bobby Firmino.
LFC's makeshift defence are not having one of their better games.
57' Great chance for Keita, was he fouled by Ricardo there inside the area.
Hmm... he does make contact.
No penalty given.
65' Shaqiri and Keita head off and on comes Fabinho and Adam Lallana.
Hope they're prepared for the conditions!
73' Well into the final twenty minutes now and it remains 1-1 and LFC have not been great this second half.
73' Quick break from Leicester but Alisson gets down to save well.
74' And at the other end Maguire slides and gets rid of a Henderson ball into the area.
End to end.
74' Big save by Schmeichel from a powerful Firmino hit.
80' Into the last ten minutes.
Sturridge set to come on shortly.
81' Salah drills a free kick straight at the wall. Was in a good position.
82' Sturridge is on for Firmino.
84' Okazaki comes on for Gray.
90' Jamie Vardy slowly trudges off and Kelechi Iheanacho is on.
Four minutes stoppage time.
93' Corner for the reds but Mane heads it over the bar.
Was that the last chance? Probably.
Liverpool 1-1 Leicester City
Liverpool stretch the lead at the top to 5 points after a fairly disappointing draw against Leicester City.
Clearly, warm weather training in Dubai did not prepare the team for tonight's snowy conditions.
