Liverpool are back at Anfield for only the second time this season to welcome Hull City. Their caretaker boss Mike Phelan celebrates his birthday today but the reds will be hoping to spoil his party.

Real opportunity wasted for Liverpool to take the lead. Mane crosses to Coutinho at the edge of the six yard box, but somehow Elmohamady is on hand to clear.

Liverpool's goal came after Milner played the ball to Coutinho - the Brazilian brought it to the edge of the box before threading it through to Lallana. The Englishman took his goal well.

Milner converts the penalty after Elmohamady receives a red card for deliberate handball in the box.

Reds are running riot here now at Anfield.
Sadio Mane turns and shoots at the edge of the box and it is 3-0 to the reds after 36 minutes.
Great first half from Liverpool who lead 3-0.
It's hard to see any way back for Hull - the reds were excellent in that 45 minutes.
It was a dominant first half at Anfield. Can the reds add more to the 3-0 lead.
Hull have switched to a back five in defence at the start of this second half.

Two very quick goals. Meyler grabs one back from a corner but then straight from the kick off Coutinho moves forward and powers in a beauty.
