The Official Treasures of Liverpool FC is a brand new Liverpool book that will enthrall and delight Liverpool supporters of all ages.
Arriving in it's boxed cover, this large sized hardback book is emblazoned with the Liverbird and is an update on a book made over 9 years ago.
LFC Museum curator Stephen Done was behind the first book, but this fresh update also brings in local journalist David Walmsley to work on it.
The layout is neatly segmented into double page spreads featuring stories about the history of the club from the Anfield ground dispute with Everton, our first blue football kits right through to the retirement of Jamie Carragher at the end of last season.
Where this book excels is in it's use of replica items from LFC's history. On certain spreads across it's 64 pages there are wallets containing copies of important and personal documents in the club's 122 year history.
You will find the initial club foundation documents, FA Cup Final programmes, Billy Liddell's Players contract, a letter from Bill Shankly to a supporter right up to modern day match tickets from LFC's historic treble in 2001 and of course the 5th European Cup victory in 2005.
This gift provides a timely reminder to some of Liverpool's older supporters of the trials and tribulations in the club's history, but for the younger generation this will provide a fascinating, easy to read, education in all things Liverpool FC.
Youngsters, teenagers and even those in their twenties will enjoy this unique way of being further informed about the club that they support - and those older will enjoy reading it to the youngsters in their family.
The Official Treasures of Liverpool FC retails at £30 but you can currently get about 20% off with FREE delivery when you order online via either Waterstones or Amazon.
* LFC Legend Ian Rush will be signing copies of the book on Thursday 7th November 5pm - 6pm at the LFC Store in Liverpool One.
