Liverpool easily overcame a poor Fulham side to cruise in to second place in the Premier League in a good weekend for the reds.
The return of Glen Johnson and Philippe Coutinho to the starting line up saw the return of the 4-4-2, suggesting that the 3 centre back strategy may just have been an experiment. Switching back to 4-4-2 provided vice captain Daniel Agger with a route back in to the first team as he was selected to partner Martin Skrtel ahead of Mamadou Sakho.
Liverpool opened brightly although Fulham got plenty of players behind the ball suggesting that the Londoners strategy was clearly going to be of containment. The reds midfield sat too deep at times and despite some trickery from Suarez and Coutinho the openings were limited.
But Liverpool were handed some fortune to set them on their way and change the course of the game.
Half way through the first half Gerrard whipped in a free kick that Suarez and Agger both touched before Amorebieta got the final decisive touch to help Liverpool in to the lead.
Just three minutes later, Liverpool doubled their advantage.
From a Gerrard corner, Martin Skrtel powered home a bullet header - Amorebieta at fault again for some poor marking.
Luis Suarez added a third 10 minutes later. Gerrard started the move when he nutmegged the hapless Captain Berbatov, before the ball eventually was fed to Henderson. His defence splitting pass unleashed Suarez who turned and fired home.

Liverpool added a fourth when Gerrard set up Suarez to fire his second of the game in front of the Kop.
The reds eased off the gas, Rodgers subbed Gerrard, Cissokho and Sturridge off and Liverpool enjoyed long periods of passing practice - as Fulham's players watched on - lacking any desire to make a tackle or get back into this game.
The reds move in to 2nd place in the Premier League in a weekend which saw Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City, Spurs and Everton all drop points. If only every weekend could be like this.
Liverpool fans must now endure a two week international break before the little matter of the Merseyside Derby at Goodison.
