Liverpool have confirmed the signing of 23 year old French international defender Mamadou Sakho.
For a fee rumoured to be in the £15M to £20M range, the player represents the clubs biggest transfer signing this summer.
Alongside earlier signing Tiago Ilori, the player is believed to have signed a 6 year deal at Anfield.
Sakho has played over 200 times in 6 seasons for PSG, capturing the title and both domestic trophies amongst his 6 honours at the French giants.
Speaking to Liverpool FC he said:
"I'm delighted to be here. I'd like to thank everyone for the welcome.
"I came here because the project that is in place at Liverpool interests me. I'm really looking forward to playing my first game.
"I'm really looking forward to cracking on with work and I can't wait to get on the pitch.
"I know the Liverpool fans are fantastic and while I was in France, it was clear for me to see they are amongst the best in England."
Sakho has been building a solid career with the French national side since his debut 3 years ago against England.
