Liverpool’s Dani Pacheco is set to move to Norwich City on loan until the end of the season. The deal is awaiting FA clearance – Dani is currently away on international duty with the Spain Under-21’s.
Norwich boss Paul Lambert said:
“Dani Pacheco is a lad we’ve seen playing for Liverpool’s first team this season and I’ve been talking to Kenny Dalglish about him for a few weeks now.
“He’s technically very good as you’d expect having been with clubs like Barcelona and Liverpool and the fact that he’s away with Spain’s Under-21s side at the moment speaks volumes for his ability and potential.”
Norwich are 2nd in the Championship – a place if they hold on to will see them automatically promoted to the Premier League next season.
Pacheco, 20, will have been at Liverpool for 4 years in the summer – and despite brief entries in to the side has not yet made a full break-through to the first time.
I’ve no doubts about Dani’s ability and when we get him back for pre season I think we will find a better player, with games he’ll only get better, I still do not understand why Kenny has never given the lad a chance here, let’s hope Dani proves a few doubters wrong.
just think the new rules about having top heavy with uk players is starting to have an effect on policies. good move for dani he will get playing time at norwich
Cant wait to see him at Carrow Rd, a great addition for the final push.
It’s a shame he’s never really had much of a chance to shine in the first team. Clearly an extremely talented player. Hope we don’t sell him.
