Luis Suarez showed how you should conduct a dignified transfer move when he headed back to Ajax at the weekend to say goodbye to the fans before the home side’s 1-0 victory over VVV Venlo.
The reds £22.8M striker took the opportunity of a gap in Liverpool’s schedule and his absence from our European fixtures due to being cup-tied.
After a brief interview on the field, which saw the Ajax crowd break out in a rendition of “You’ll Never Walk Alone”, the player walked around the pitch launching football’s in to the stands as souvenirs.
this is the way to 2 leave a football club torres!
u r not even fitting in that chelsea side.suffer!
Glad to see Luis leaving on good terms. I think Ajax fans are more accepting of players that leave for foreign leagues as they are still a selling club. Just a side-note – watched a profile of Eden Hazard on You-tube. He would be a perfect team-mate for Suarez! It would be like a modern day version of Beardsley and Barnes. Both players are clever and good on the ball and have unlimited energy. Really hope he joins us in the summer but have a feeling he will opt for Arsenal.
this guy oozes with class this is the sort of pr that is worth so much. he loves the fans and anfield will love him to.
