The international breaks for this season are over and it's back to domestic matters for Liverpool.
The reds welcome third placed Spurs to Anfield in the big Premier League weekend clash.
Manchester United drew level on points with third placed Spurs yesterday, whilst Man City's victory took them above the the reds with both sides having played 31 games.
A win today would take the reds above Man City once more, but a Liverpool defeat could hand City a massive title advantage.
The reds have a couple of injury concerns, but have been boosted by both Joe Gomez and Oxlade-Chamberlain approaching recovery from their extensive injuries.
As it happened...
Liverpool still have question marks over the fitness of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Xherdan Shaqiri.
Both Joe Gomez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are on the road back - but not for today's big game.
Team news soon.
Standard two changes for the reds
Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Milner, Mane, Salah, Firmino.
Subs: Mignolet, Fabinho, Lovren, Keita, Lallana, Shaqiri, Origi.
Harry Kane is in form and does have a good scoring record v Liverpool. Here's the Spurs side for today.
Lloris (c), Trippier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Rose, Sissoko, Eriksen, Dele, Lucas, Kane.
Subs: Gazzaniga, Davies, Foyth, Skipp, Wanyama, Son, Llorente
Underway at Anfield.
9' Salah's had an early shot and Trent's been busy defending against Lucas Moura inside the box.
The reds need the three points today, but with United breathing down their necks. So do Spurs.
14' Spurs enjoying a good period here now at Anfield. Liverpool taking some risks in defensive positions.
16' Lovely dinked cross by Robertson from the left side, Firmino's there in acres of space and bang - he heads in the opener. 1-0.
17' Trent Alexander-Arnold leathers in a volley and it only just goes wide of Hugo Lloris.
Perfection...

Firmino gets in between the Spurs centre backs and nods Robertson's cross home.

22' Mo Salah almost through there, collecting a dream pass from Firmino. It's an important tackle from Davinson Sanchez.
23' Almost an error there - Alisson and Milner almost come together trying to defend a long cross. It's not a clean catch at the first attempt but the reds keeper mops up and spares the blushes.
28' Trent Alexander-Arnold with the corner and he hits the near post.
29' Lucas Moura with a cross, Dele Alli powering in but it just goes narrowly over his head.
33' Dele Alli drills a shot over the bar. He 1-2'ed his way past Jordan Henderson there.
35' Trent Alexander-Arnold with another corner. Liverpool clearly think Lloris is a liability. This one tries to curl straight into the goal - it lands just on the roof of the net.
36' Mistake from van Dijk there who passes the ball to a Spurs player in the centre-circle. When the ball makes its way to Harry Kane though he gets the cross into the box horribly wrong and it's back with Liverpool.
37' Sadio Mane curls a shot that goes close. Good build up by the front three and that ball was not far away at all.
41' Spurs ending this half well. Eriksen bullies Henderson off the ball there. Moura has a chance that he snatches at and puts wide. Reds need to see this lead through to half time now.
Liverpool 1-0 Spurs
Spurs have been enterprising but Liverpool have been resolute and have had the two best chances of the half. Firmino with the headed goal and Mane went close to adding the reds second.
All to play for.
46' We're back underway at Anfield. The reds kick off and are kicking towards The Kop.
49' Alexander-Arnold's corner comes to the edge of the area, Milner collects, spins and crosses to the back post but van Dijk can't get the right angle on his header.
54' Spurs the more dominant side so far in this half - although Firmino there heads over from a Milner cross.
54' Alisson with an important save from a Harry Kane shot, but it rebounds into the danger zone. Another Spurs shot but this time Robertson gets the crucial touch to deflect it wide.
Surely the reds can't withstand the pressure from the North London men for another 33 minutes? The reds need an outlet.
66' Matip called into action to defend a Spurs cross - he does but it's a Spurs corner that the reds do clear.
Pressure, pressure.
67' Mauricio Pochettino switches on his mobile phone and makes the call to the touchline. The reds appear to have gone two up front with Firmino playing just behind Mane and Salah to try and get more involved in this second half.
Both managers making tactical changes, and Spurs could be about to make some personnel changes.
69' Dangerous one this. Heung-Min Son is on for Davinson Sanchez. Spurs sense points.
70' It has been coming. Lucas Moura with the equaliser for Spurs.
Quick free kick from Kane and it ends up with Moura tapping in.
75' Origi and Fabinho look set to come on. Desperate ball forward there by Henderson. Real panic amongst the LFC players now. 1-1.
77' Fabinho on for Henderson. Origi on for Milner.
79' Corner from Trent, van Dijk gets a faint touch - not enough and Firmino can't redirect it over. Real opportunity squandered.
79' Lucas Moura for a foul at the edge of their box.
Origi's free kick deflected wide.
81' Lucas Moura replaced by Ben Davies.
85' Big chance there for Sissoko to win it when Spurs had a two on one. He blazes it over the bar, thankfully.
And it's Spurs who look the most likely to win it.
Liverpool have been poor today.
90' Amazing scenes. Mo Salah sends in a header and Alderweireld puts it over the line.
The reds have taken the lead.
90+2' Lovren comes on to replace Salah.
SENSATIONAL
Liverpool 2-1 Spurs

We'll have more reaction to the reds victory up shortly.
What will happen next in the Premier League?
Liverpool are top with 79 points. Man City, with a game less are on 77 points.
Klopp giving the title to City with that midfield. Never worked before and it won’t today. Gutted!
