Joel Matip has joined Joe Gomez on the Liverpool sidelines with a broken collarbone.
The Liverpool central defender had another impressive game partnering Virgil van Dijk as the reds kept the clean sheet that ensured they would go through to the last 16 of the Champions League.
But he sustained a heavy collision in the very final seconds of the game and hit the ground.
As the cheers went up at the final whistle, Liverpool's medical staff were running on the pitch to treat the Cameroon international.
The player travelled straight to hospital and will now undergo an operation to correct the alignment of the collarbone fracture.
He is expected to be out until late January at the earliest, although could return to general fitness work earlier next month.
Both Trent Alexander-Arnold and James Milner also went off suffering knocks in the latter phase last night's critical game.
