Liverpool won the 100th league Merseyside derby at Anfield thanks to a late goal from the lesser spotted Divock Origi.
The Belgian striker is developing a taste for derby goals, despite having featured rarely for the reds in recent times. The 'England number 1' Jordan Pickford was a crucial part of the Liverpool goal - when he kept a van Dijk attempt in play for the Belgian to head in.
The goal arrived in the 96th minute of the game.

As the barrage of substitutions arrived it looked like this would be heading for a goalless draw, until Liverpool's final attack of the game.
A ball sent to the edge of the area found the unlikely attacking threat of Virgil van Dijk. His shot/cross appeared heading for the top of the goal net before Jordan Pickford clawed it back into the danger area for Divock Origi to have the simplest of headers to win the game for Liverpool.
