Jurgen Klopp has spoken in his pre-match press conference ahead of this weekend's Premier League game.
The reds kick off in the final game of Matchday 2, away on Monday night at Crystal Palace.
Klopp was asked if he understood the fans excitement after the opening weekend's 4-0 win over West Ham.
'Yes it's nice. It could have been different. We feel in a good moment, already since a few weeks, and months - it's getting better. We're still in a process and we have to develop. We are not the best team in the world so there is a lot of space to improve in a lot of different departments.
Our supporters like the way we do it. That is very important because if the supporters ask for something impossible then it isn't a healthy situation.
Crystal Palace are unbeaten. They have grown as a group and Roy has done a fantastic job there. I saw a lot of videos of Roy Hodgson - one of the inventors of 4-4-2 style. They're very well organised and that will be a tough challenge. So our start was good but that is already done. We have to do that again, again and again. We want to work and fight for each point and stick with Rocky. Sometimes he went down but he at least won that fight (v Drago).'
Jurgen was asked about reports linking Klavan to Cagliari, in light of injuries to Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip only having just returned to training - would he allow it?
'No player will leave if I do not allow it. If he leaves - then I said 'yes' to it.'
'We are not in a financial need to sell. But I feel we could give a few players the opportunity (to move on elsewhere).
Focussing on Crystal Palace he said he understood the challenge. The reds required a late Salah goal to take all the points away at Palace earlier this year.
'At the end of last season they were very consistent. Pre-season was good and now their first game was good. They played real football and I think 3 or 4 new players weren't in the squad or didn't start. Townsend is a fantastic football player and Schlupp in a slight different position. They have speed on the wings, their full backs are quick and they have experienced centre halves.
'Wilfried (Zaha) is doing it for Crystal Palace.
Liverpool kick off at Selhurst Park at 8pm UK on Monday 20th August.
