The reds had the opportunities to win in Moscow tonight but had to settle for a draw.
The result leaves the group relatively open. Sevilla have a two point lead over both Liverpool and Spartak Moscow after matchday 2.
But Spartak and Sevilla now face each other in the next two games, whilst the reds meet the Slovenian champions Maribor in Matchday 3 and 4.
Liverpool will be hoping for all 6 points in those two clashes to get back on the path of Champions League group stage qualification.

Well worked goal for us. First time Coutinho and Mane have started and hopefully they can forge a bit of a relationship this season. Don’t think there was too much more Karius could have done from their free kick. It was a fairly decent one – over the wall, curling, on target. Emre Can seemed to block Karius getting an earlier view as well with his failed header.
Not the best result but could have been much worse. Two games for Spartak now against Seville. They can’t both get 6 points.
