Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum could miss the Liverpool v Manchester United clash next Monday night after picking up an injury whilst on international duty.
The reds new summer signing has settled quickly into his new team but suffered an injury to his right hamstring during Holland's World Cup qualifying defeat to France. He limped off after an hour played at the Amsterdam Arena. Paul Pogba had already scored the only goal of the game in the first half.
Wijnaldum has returned to Melwood today and will undergo assessment and scans with results expected within the next 24 hours.
The Dutch midfielder's potential loss could be a gain for Emre Can who would be in line for his first Premier League start of the season.
Back at Melwood Adam Lallana is still being nursed back to fitness - both he and Nathaniel Clyne were kept out of the England squad due to injuries. Although Adam faces a race to be fit Nathaniel Clyne is ready to go for the United clash - so too is centre-back Dejan Lovren.
Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge are still on England duty and we hope that they manage to get through the game without adding to the reds injury concerns.
