Liverpool have sold Spanish midfielder Luis Alberto to Lazio for £4.3M.
The fee could eventually rise to £6M. Brendan Rodgers bought Luis Alberto, then a 20 year old, from Sevilla for £6.8M. He played a mere 12 times for the reds but was unable to adapt to the physical nature of the league.
The following season, 2014-15 he was loaned to Malaga, before heading to Deportivo La Coruna for the 2015-16 season.
He had been told shortly after returning from loan that his future lay away from Anfield. He had been linked with a return to Sevilla, but a deal fell through - Liverpool wanting a fee, Sevilla not wanting to pay one.
He now moves to Italy with Lazio who finished 8th in Serie A last season.
Good luck for the future.
