The reds final pre-season game ahead of the start of the new Premier League season has today been confirmed to be played at Wembley stadium.
The reds, who normally play a showpiece game at Anfield, have elected to play in the capital. Liverpool's ongoing renovation of the Main Stand is unlikely to be completed until near the end of August.
The game will take place a week before the start of the new Premier League season - on August 6th at 5pm.
It will be the third game in the styled 'International Champions Cup' pre season games. The reds are already set to face Chelsea and AC Milan in California at the end of July.
The game kicks off just a fortnight before the La Liga season so it is likely there will be a strong Barcelona side present too which should include our former hitman Luis Suarez.
