Group leaders and group runners up Liverpool and Sion played out a benign goalless draw in Switzerland that ensured both teams qualified in first and second place.
The reds, who were 3rd in the group when Klopp took over, finish the group as winners while Sion got the point that guaranteed them qualification to the knockout stages.
Highlights of the game include the opposition fans holding up a banner saying 'You'll Never Drink Alone' and a collection of the Swiss support being dressed as animals.
For the reds, Jordan Henderson started his first game for almost 4 months whilst Coutinho returned to action - coming on as a substitute for the final 30 minutes.
The less said about the game the better. It was poor - both goalkeepers having exceptionally little to do. Origi going closest in the first half with a shot from outside the area that went narrowly wide.
In freezing temperatures one side of the pitch was frozen solid - leaving many of the players to avoid running at any pace on that side - further stifling the game.
Brad Smith was given an opportunity at left back, and following the Coutinho substitution - Jordan Rossiter and Cameron Brannagan were brought on for the reds as senior players were rested for the weekend's visit of West Brom.
In the end, across all 6 games, the reds easily deserved to qualify from the group and they go into the draw for the next round alongside 8 sides who finished 3rd in the Champions League.
